What is your cancellation policy?

We get it—stuff happens. If you need to cancel your booking, please get in touch with our team as soon as possible. If you cancel more than 30 days before the booking date, we’ll refund you 80% of the full value of the booking.
We don’t offer a refund if you cancel less than 30 days before the booking date. However, if someone else books the vessel, we’ll refund the value of the dates that we re-booked, less a 20% cancellation fee.

What’s the deal with the security bond?

We’ll place a $1000 hold on your credit card as a security bond. When you return the undamaged vessel, the hold is released. If you happen to damage the boat during your rental period, we’ll assess the damages and deduct the cost from your bond.

Is half-day hire available?

Yes, we accept half-day bookings*. Only available on the day of hire (no pre-booking available online) for a 5 hour period:

7am to 12noon - call to book on the day before
12noon to 5pm - call to book in the morning of hire or the day before
Boat needs to be returned with full tank of fuel by noon or 5pm. The cost is $250 per half day.

Where can I launch?

The Vessel must be within a 20km radius of the Albany Waterfront Marina, Toll Place.
If you wish to hire the vessel and take it away on holiday with you (within Western Australia), please get in touch with our office staff.

Is there a limit to how far I can travel?

As stipulated in the hire terms, you can take the vessel up to 10km from the mainland coastline.

Can you launch and retrieve it for me?

Sure can. Our launch/pick-up service is available within a 20km radius of the Albany Waterfront Marina, Toll Place, Albany, for $70 on weekdays and $120 on weekends and public holidays.
*As part of this service we will refuel the boat and pass on the cost (of fuel) to you.

Can I hire an esky?

A 75L esky is included in multi-day bookings—yew!

What is the fuel capacity?

The vessel holds 180L of fuel. It will have a full tank when we hand it over and must be re-filled with unleaded fuel at the end of the hire period.

Do I need a skippers ticket to hire the boat?

Yes, at least one member to the hiring party is required to carry a valid skippers ticket.
We will ask you for a copy of the skippers drivers licence and skippers ticket upon collection.

Anything else I need to know?

As stipulated in the hire terms, the boat can only be used or towed in the daytime. Please tow the boat on sealed roads only.
